Good French baby potatoes are difficult to obtain at the moment.
Why? This is because a lot of rain fell last spring and summer. This has made it very wet and this affects the quality and shelf life of the French potatoes in the current season. We still have good quality potatoes available every day, but we pay extra attention to quality upon arrival and inform our customers even more than usual about what kind of product they can expect from us.
We expect to have product from Israel available in the coming weeks through our French partner Pom'Alliance (groupe NATUP). Due to the political issues, not everyone will want this product and this could possibly result in Israeli potatoes becoming available cheaper than we are normally used to. It is expected that early Spanish production will be extremely expensive.
The first new French harvest is exptected to be available in mid-June or early July.
